BEE DANCER : BEE QUEEN

In this video I, Sara Mapelli, am dancing with 12,000 honey bees. This is my second bee dance and I am planing a third. I think of this dance as a duet among many. The bees push with their powerful wings from each side of my body, I resist and then I let go and flow and move with them. It is a deep meditation and I feel the hive mind surround me, hold me, and expand my body on a cellular level. I am a healer, dancer, artist, builder of structures and bee keeper. As a bee keeper my partner and I hope to help the bees of the northwest by encouraging them to swarm and become hardy to the ever changing environment.

I have been helping people heal for 21 years. To read more about my in office and long distant sessions visit seventhwave.org.

SURVIVAL ... LOST WITH OR WITHOUT A COMPASS

This video deminstrates how to use the sun and a couple of sticks to find your directions if you don't have a compass.
This method is quick and easy and gets you with in a couple of degrees of north.

Since this method works with the sun you need to have sun light to cast the shadow. A bright moon can do the same as long as it cast a shadow, but at night use the north Star.

PLASTIC BEACH

Richard Lang and Judith Selby Lang have been collecting plastic debris off one beach in Northern California for over ten years. Each piece of plastic Richard and Judith pick up comes back to their house, where it gets cleaned, categorized and stored before being used for their art. The couple make sculptures, prints, jewelry and installations with the plastic they find washed up, raising a deeper concern with the problem of plastic pollution in our seas.

WOOD GAS STOVE

I have built several "HOBO" stoves in the past and I thought that the "wood/gas" stoves were no better than the hobo stoves.... I was wrong. The wood.gas stove uses a double-wall design like some of the alcohol stoves out there. the gas from the burning wood is heated and pushed to the top where it is ignited as it exists the jets at the top of the interior wall.
